Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1 – Mix the Dough

Combine diced butter, egg yolks, salt, lemon peel, powdered sugar, baking powder, and sour cream. Gradually add sifted flour, mixing first with a spoon, then kneading by hand until elastic. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.

Step 2 – Prepare the Filling

Mix crushed walnuts, diced apricots, and apricot jam to create the filling.

Step 3 – Roll the Dough

Divide the dough into four equal parts. Roll each ball into a thin circle (2–3 mm thick, about 12 inches in diameter). Cut into 16 triangles, place filling at the base, and roll into crescents.

Step 4 – Bake the Cookies

Dear Lykkers, arrange the crescents on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 15–17 minutes until golden.

Step 5 – Add the Finishing Touch

While still warm, roll each cookie in powdered sugar. Arrange on a plate for serving.
